Description
“Want to see Big Ben?” is the line printed on the wrapper. It is a registered UK trademark held by Kissy Bang Bang, filed in 2010 and protected until 2030. The joke takes London’s most photographed landmark and points it somewhere considerably less tourist-friendly.
The wrapper does the comedy. The condom does the job.
What is a Big Ben condom?
A standard, fully certified condom in a foil wrapper printed with the double entendre “Want to see Big Ben?”. Kissy Bang Bang has printed it in London since 2007. It sells as a gag gift, a stag or hen night handout and a London souvenir — but what is inside the wrapper is not a novelty.
Is it a real condom, or just a decorative gift?
It is a real condom and it works. Every one is CE marked and certified to ISO 4074, the international safety standard for latex condoms. Nominal width is 52mm (±2mm), length is over 180mm, and shelf life is 4 to 5 years. Only the wrapper is the joke.
This matters because some Big Ben souvenir condoms sold elsewhere are hand-painted decorative items, sold as ornaments and not intended for use as contraception. This one is not. It is a certified condom that happens to be funny.
What is printed on it?
The front of the 6cm × 6cm foil carries the artwork and the “Want to see Big Ben?” line. The reverse carries the lot number and expiry date, which UK and EU law requires on every condom wrapper for traceability.
Who buys it?
Stag and hen parties, London souvenir shoppers, Secret Santa organisers who want the room to laugh, and people who collect British innuendo. It is also one of the designs bulk buyers pick most often for tourist retail.
How many do I have to buy?
Six. Mix any six designs from the funny range at £1.66 each, or take six of the same. It ships from London in plain, unbranded packaging — nothing on the outside says what is inside. Free UK delivery over £9, or next-day for £3.80.
