What is on the wrapper?

A frilly pink garter tied with a ribbon bow, with a small gold padlock dangling from it and gold sparkles around the type. LAST NIGHT in pink, OF FREEDOM in blue. The padlock is the punchline: the lock is closed, so the freedom in question is already theoretical.

Is it a real condom?

Yes. It is CE marked and certified to ISO 4074, the international safety standard for latex condoms: 52mm nominal width (±2mm), over 180mm long, 4 to 5 year shelf life. The joke stops at the foil. Made by Kissy Bang Bang, a London printer of funny condoms since 2007.

When to hand it out

Hen weekends, the bride’s own party bag, and the table at a joint stag-and-hen do. It is the design most hen organisers pick first, because it is rude enough to raise a laugh and tame enough for the bride’s mother.
