Kissy Bang Bang

Custom condom safety

Are custom condoms safe?

Yes. A custom condom is exactly as safe as a standard one, because the condom itself is never printed. Only the foil wrapper is, and the sealed inner foil is never opened or altered.

Every condom Kissy Bang Bang prints is CE marked and certified to ISO 4074, the international safety standard for natural rubber latex condoms. The certification covers the condom in its sealed foil. Printing the outer wrapper changes nothing about that.

Why printing doesn't affect safety

The condom and the wrapper are two separate things

A condom arrives from the factory sealed inside its own foil pouch. That pouch is what gets a printed paper or foil wrapper around it, or printed directly on the outer foil. The latex is never exposed to ink, heat, or handling during printing. When you tear the wrapper open, the condom inside is in the same sealed state it left the production line in.

CE marking and ISO 4074, explained plainly

CE marking means the condom meets EU and UK health and safety requirements for a medical device. ISO 4074 is the specific international standard for male latex condoms, covering burst volume, burst pressure, freedom from holes, and shelf life. Kissy Bang Bang's condoms hold both. The standard applies to the condom in its original sealed foil, which is the part that never changes.

The print process uses no heat

Wrapper printing is a cold process. There's no heat applied that could reach the latex through the foil. The ink bonds to the outer plastic layer of the wrapper only and cannot pass the aluminium barrier inside the foil. Nothing about the condom's material, lubricant, or seal is touched.

Photo and personalised condoms are just as safe

A condom with your face, your logo, or an inside joke on it is identical, in safety terms, to one with a brand name on it. The personalisation lives entirely on the wrapper. The same CE and ISO 4074 certified condom is inside every one.

Do custom condoms still have an expiry date?

Yes. The expiry date is set by the condom inside, not the wrapper, and it stays printed on or inside the original sealed foil. Use a custom condom within its date the same as any other. Storing it cool and out of direct sunlight keeps it good for its full shelf life.

How Kissy Bang Bang handles safety

We've been printing condom wrappers in London since 2007. Every condom we supply is CE marked and ISO 4074 certified, sourced sealed and printed without heat or contact with the latex. On orders over 100 pieces we send a real photograph of the actual printed wrapper before production, so you approve the real thing, not a mockup.

Custom condom safety — quick answers

Does printing weaken the condom?
No. The condom is never printed. Only the outer foil wrapper is, using a cold process with no heat and no contact with the latex. The condom inside stays exactly as it left the factory, sealed and certified.
Are personalised condoms CE marked?
Yes. Every condom Kissy Bang Bang prints is CE marked and certified to ISO 4074, regardless of what's on the wrapper. The certification covers the sealed condom, which is identical across the funny range, Design Your Own, and bulk branded orders.
Is the ink dangerous if it touches the condom?
The ink never touches the condom. It bonds to the outer plastic layer of the wrapper and cannot pass the aluminium barrier inside the foil. The latex and lubricant are sealed away from the print entirely.
Do custom condoms expire like normal ones?
Yes, and on the same timeline. The expiry date belongs to the condom inside its original sealed foil, not the printed wrapper. Use within the date and store cool and out of sunlight, the same as any condom.
Are custom condoms safe for actual use, not just novelty?
Yes. They're fully functional CE and ISO 4074 certified condoms. The print is purely on the wrapper. Plenty of customers order them as real-use personalised gifts, not just party props.
Are funny condoms safe to actually use, or just a joke?
Kissy Bang Bang's funny condoms are real, fully usable condoms, CE marked and ISO 4074 certified. Only the outer foil wrapper is printed with the joke. The condom inside is identical to any standard certified one. The funny part is the packaging, not the protection.
How do you tell a toy joke condom from a safe certified one in seconds?
Check the wrapper for a CE mark and an ISO 4074 reference, plus a batch number and expiry date. A real condom has all four. A toy novelty has none. Every Kissy Bang Bang funny condom carries them, because the print is only on the wrapper.
Is the ink on custom condoms toxic?
No. The ink never touches the condom. Kissy Bang Bang prints the outer foil wrapper only, using a cold process with flexible ink that bonds to the outer plastic layer and cannot pass the aluminium barrier inside the foil. The sealed, CE marked, ISO 4074 certified condom is never exposed to ink.
